The final competitions of the All-Russian marathon «Land of Sports», organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation within the framework of the State Program «Integrated Rural Development», were held in Sirius.

The large-scale project is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle. This year, the final of the event brought together more than a thousand athletes — winners of the regional stages. The marathon was started by Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, and Dmitry Plishkin, Head of the administration of the Sirius Federal Territory.

SSAU was represented at the marathon by activists of the Kolos Student Sports Club and finalists of the Youth Intensive Course «Agriculture in the face of climate change».

— Our marathon is still quite young, but it is actively developing. This year, it brought together more than 16,000 athletes from 67 regions of the country. We have no age or professional limits: everyone can choose their favorite discipline and go to the start. This is a chance for all participants to test their character and prove themselves,» said Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
