Stepan Popov, a student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, won a grant in the amount of one million rubles in the federal Student Startup competition for the implementation of the Morozkino project.

About 9.3 million people in Russia suffer from gluten intolerance. This limits their choice of food due to the risk of an allergic reaction. Stepan Popov's project is an affordable alternative to products containing gluten.

Together with the team, Stepan suggested using psyllium seed husks instead of wheat flour, and replacing the meat component of dumplings with hypoallergenic turkey meat. This will alleviate the symptoms of a number of food allergies and improve the health of people with gluten intolerance.

The students plan to spend the million rubles they won on purchasing equipment, renting premises and starting production. Also in the future, new items such as cutlets and meatballs will be introduced, as well as the range of fillings for dumplings and dumplings will be expanded.

— It's great that now our youth have all the tools to realize their ambitions. We will continue to support them on this path,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of the SSAU.
