Within the framework of the All-Russian Field Day, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan and Stavropol Agrarian University signed an agreement on strategic cooperation and partnership in the field of animal husbandry and training for agriculture.

Stavropol State Agrarian University has been working with a number of livestock farms in Dagestan since 2023. Milk quality monitoring in such breeding farms of the republic is carried out in the laboratories of milk quality control and molecular genetic examination, as well as in the control-assistant and expert-confectionery services of the university.

The agreement will allow joint molecular genetic research and monitoring of the labor market to determine the needs of the economy of the North Caucasus Federal District for qualified personnel. Unique educational programs and projects for the development of innovative education will also be developed. 

For students of StGAU, cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan will open up prospects for passing industrial and pre-graduate practice at enterprises of the republic, as well as receiving personal scholarships and grants.

— Dagestan has always been distinguished by a powerful administrative resource and effective use of this resource. Since 2019, we have been working in the field of breeding and genetics in animal husbandry within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. The University is ready for any task in the field of improving the gene pool of breeding livestock of dairy breeds to increase the economic efficiency of production in the republic,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of StGAU.
