SSAU ranks in the overall ranking — 1501-1750. It is significant that the university has won the second place among all universities subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The Moscow International University Three Missions Rating evaluates all three key functions of the university: education (the first mission), science (the second mission) and interaction with society (the third mission). This is not just an academic list. Its formation in 2016 was initiated by the Russian Union of Rectors on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. To date, this is the only rating that is officially taken into account at the state level:

• When monitoring the national project «Science and Universities».

• When academic titles and degrees obtained in foreign universities are recognized in Russia.

An important feature of the methodology is its complete objectivity: the rating operator, the RAEX agency, does not use questionnaires and surveys, but evaluates universities solely based on data from externally verified sources.

In 2025, the ranking included 2,000 universities from 112 countries, including 156 from Russia (from all federal districts).

Lomonosov Moscow State University continues to show the best result among Russian universities, retaining 17th place in the top 2000.

On the scale of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD), the university's debut was part of a general breakthrough: Chechen State University also entered the ranking for the first time. At the same time, Stavropol State Agrarian University showed the highest result among the «debutants» of the district.
