The 13th International Scientific and Practical conference «International Scientific Publication — 2025: Development Trends» was held at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
The event is organized annually by the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers. The conference is attended by over 300 experts — Russian and foreign editors and publishers of scientific journals, owners and operators of information resources, representatives of the scientific community and the public sector of science management.
The forum experts' discussions focused on the next stage of the reform of Russian science and the corresponding transformation of national scientific publications. Special attention was paid to the transformation of the list of journals of the Higher Attestation Commission, the «White List» of the Russian Center for Scientific Information and the creation of a Unified state List of scientific publications in Russia, which will use not only scientometric assessment, but also qualitative expertise of scientific publications.
In addition to the mentioned issues, the forum participants discussed the use of artificial intelligence in the preparation of scientific articles, the declaration on the ethics of scientific publications, academic literacy and content quality, as well as legal approaches to editorial and publishing activities.
Irina Samoylenko, Head of the Publication Support Department, represented Stavropol State Agrarian University, taking part in round tables on the ethical use of artificial intelligence in scientific translation, as well as the development and promotion of journals on agriculture and related fields. In addition, Irina Samoylenko presented the scientific journals «Agrarian Bulletin of the North Caucasus» and «Research on Problems of Economics and Finance», published by the University, at the exhibition of periodicals. Being a member of the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers, Stavropol State Agrarian University actively participates in training seminars and events, striving to keep abreast of the rapidly changing state policy in the field of scientific periodicals.
