As part of her working visit to the Stavropol Territory, Olga Abramova, Adviser to the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, visited the SSAU and held a meeting of the Supervisory Board for Industrial Adaptation of the domestic cross «Smena 9».

The visit included a number of key facilities of the agro—industrial infrastructure of the region, including a branch of the Head Center for the reproduction of farm animals — the center «Stavropolplem» and the poultry complex «GAP Resource». The final stage was a visit to Stavropol Agrarian University. The university administration presented Olga Abramova with the university's priority areas of research and innovation, in particular, they reported on developments in the poultry industry.

During the meeting of the Supervisory Board for Industrial Adaptation of the domestic cross «Smena 9», critical areas were identified: ensuring the competitiveness of the cross in industrial breeding, systematic support from industry enterprises, including in terms of financing, as well as comprehensive scientific and technological support for its implementation at the production circuit level.

— For many years, SSAU has been developing the scientific and human resources necessary for the development of a modern domestic poultry industry. The developments of our scientists on genetics, feeding, biosafety, veterinary prevention and adaptation of domestic crosses are being introduced into production practice and become the basis of industry methods. We will continue to work in this direction,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.
