From September 17 to 18, Vladimir Samoylenko, Vice–Rector for International Cooperation and Career Guidance at Stavropol State Agrarian University, took part in the International Forum «Hainan — Science, Education and Innovation», which was organized by the Hainan Center for Satellite Data and Applied Research, Eurasia Corporation and the MEI-Hainan University in Wenchang.

The forum brought together more than 200 representatives of leading universities in Russia and China. The discussion platforms of the event discussed issues of university cooperation in the field of engineering education, the interaction of government, universities and business of the two countries.

Natalia Popova, First Deputy Director General of Innopraktika, took part in the forum. She, together with representatives of the authorities of Hainan Province and the Russian Embassy in China, opened the Innopraktika lecture hall in China. Similar projects have previously been launched in Senegal and Brazil.

— As part of the implementation of the internationalization strategy, less than a year ago we signed an agreement with Jiamusi University to launch a joint educational program in engineering. During this period, a working group of our universities worked on carrying out all necessary approval procedures at the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is symbolic that we received a license on the eve of the Forum and will be glad to start joint student training next year,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.

During the visit, the participating university delegations visited the MEI-Hainan University campus under construction and the Wenchang Cosmodrome.

The forum was held as part of the cross-year of education between the two countries, announced during the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
