Stavropol State University awarded Stavropol high school students more than 700 certificates of profession within the framework of the project «The first profession of a schoolboy».

The project «The first profession of a schoolboy» was launched with the support of Governor Vladimir Vladimirovich within the framework of the national «Education». It is being implemented in the Center for Advanced Vocational Training of the Stavropol Territory, established on the basis of the StGAU. The project is aimed at early professional self-determination of students and allows them to master professional competencies in accordance with their interests and personal characteristics.

For three months, students from grades 8 to 11 mastered 14 sought-after specialties for free, including a locksmith, welder, electrician, cook, pastry chef, photographer and marketer. Classes were held both on the basis of the Advanced Vocational Training Center and on the basis of partner enterprises. Upon completion of their studies, students received official certificates of profession, giving them the opportunity to work in their chosen specialty.

— Not everyone has the opportunity to try on a profession to get a full understanding of the specifics of their future activities today — this is a unique practice for the country. I am convinced that the competencies obtained with our help will help you make an informed choice when applying,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of the SSAU.
