The Stavropol State Agrarian University hosts the All-Russian Scientific and Educational Forum «Promising Trends in Agricultural Education and Science», organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The agenda of the event is built through the prism of human resources and scientific support for the agro-industrial complex of the country, which is a strategic objective of the national project «Technological food security». During the plenary discussions and round tables, the forum participants developed a number of proposals for implementation into educational practice at all stages of the personnel training trajectory for the agro-industrial complex as part of the transition to a new model of higher education in Russia.: from the agrotechnological class to the career of a young specialist of the enterprise and a scientist.
The key event of the forum was the plenary session «Rebooting Agricultural Education: the Synergy of Science, Education and Business» with the participation of Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Vladimir Vladimirovich, Governor of the Stavropol Territory.
The transition to an updated model of higher education and the strengthening of the role of business in the educational and research process have become an objective necessity. As Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, noted, this transformation is of particular importance for agricultural universities, which play a strategic role in ensuring food security, innovative rural development and personnel training for the agro-industrial complex.
Stavropol State Agrarian University is already actively implementing new approaches in the development of educational programs, scientific research, and has stable partnerships with businesses in the implementation of innovative projects. In addition, the university is an active participant in federal programs and projects such as «Personnel in Agriculture», «World-class Research centers», «Priority 2030» and «Professionalism». According to Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU, the creation of unprecedented conditions for developing the potential of students and young scientists at the university is due to the strong and comprehensive support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Government of the Stavropol Territory and strategic partners of the university. Over the past year alone, the university has renovated and renovated more than 15,000 square meters, including major repairs to the campus of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management in Agriculture, the Institute of Agrobiology and Natural Resources and the dormitory fund, the university reports.
