Ivan Vdovydchenko, chief agronomist of the educational farm, employees of the basic Department of General Agriculture, Crop Production and Breeding named after F.I. Bobryshev, associate professors I.A. Donets, A.S. Golub, as well as bachelors from the Institute of Agrobiology and Natural Resources in the field of Agronomy — Genetics and Plant Breeding, took part in the breakdown of the site and sowing.

For the first time, 30 new varieties of winter wheat from Russia's leading breeding centers will be tested in the temperate humidification zone. All new varieties will receive a comprehensive assessment based on a set of economic and biological characteristics: yield, product quality, resistance to diseases and pests, and suitability for mechanized harvesting. The test results will make it possible to select the most productive and valuable varieties in terms of quality and other characteristics for their zoning and introduction into production.

Compliance with all technical rules, as well as all the requirements of the experimental methodology in the field, is the most important condition for obtaining accurate data suitable for evaluating the effects of agrotechnical techniques and varieties studied in the experiment. After studying and preparing the land plot, a schematic plan of the experiment was drawn up, which indicated the exact dimensions of the entire experiment, repetitions, plots and numbers of options for plots. 

According to the schematic plan for the placement of field experience, the bachelors, under the guidance of experienced agronomists and teachers, made a breakdown of the site, highlighting the general outline of the experience and the contours of individual repetitions. The total area and area of the accounting plots, as well as the area of the protective strips, were calculated, the method of placement of plots, repetitions and variants was determined, and winter wheat was sown.
