Within the framework of the discipline «Service activities», practical classes were held for students of the directions «Hospitality» and «Tourism», organized by Associate Professor of the Department of International Business and Tourism Irina Pavlenko.
In LLC «Rokadovskiye Mineralnye Vody», the directors of quality, personnel, production of LLC «Rokadovskiye Mineralnye Vody» conducted an introductory tour, told about the procedure for assessing water quality and degrees of purification, dynamic pricing, degrees of protection and brand awareness. The students studied the signs of classification of mineral and drinking waters, organoleptically assessed the mineral and medicinal properties of 12 types of water.
Maria Kravchenko, director of the Lermontov Museum in the Roshke coffee shop, conducted a detailed tour of the newly opened museum. The students were introduced to the forms of museum service as a type of service activity, elements and sources of digital museum service, design of the service space as the basis for the formation of generational culture.
At the Sericulture Research Station, senior researcher Evdokia Leinweber told students about the methods of organization and economics of sericulture in modern market conditions, demonstrated the biocollection of silkworm breeds. The students studied high-yielding varieties of forage mulberry, compiled a model of the formation and functioning of sericulture. The program for the development of the silkworm forage base with an economic assessment of resource- and environmental-saving technologies interested students for various breeding seasons of the silkworm.
Alexander Kelushev, Sales Director of the Mashuk Aqua-Term sanatorium, conducted a sightseeing tour of the territory and the room fund. The students appreciated the wellness programs according to the treatment profile, a variety of excursion programs and recreational activities of the sanatorium. We have identified compliance with the standards of service and guest service of the 4 and 5 star accommodation facilities. We checked the equipment checklist for a standard room in a 5-star hotel. We got acquainted with the types of medical activities and the therapeutic and preventive base, which has the highest category of accreditation. The lesson ended with a tea party and a discussion of the techniques of the sanatorium's client orientation — selling through value, sincere and attentive attitude to the guest.
