1st and 3rd year students of the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management in Agriculture, accompanied by Associate professors of the Department of Finance and Credit Yulia Sizon and Raisa Safiullayeva, attended a series of thematic master classes organized by employees of the Universal Office «Stavropol» branch of PJSC IC Rosgosstrakh in the Stavropol Territory.
As part of the study of the discipline «Introduction to professional activity», the first-year students got acquainted with the specifics of the work of Russia's oldest insurance company. The students had a unique opportunity from the head of the Universal Office Natalia Biryukova to learn about how the insurance company is organized, which departments function in its structure and what functions they perform. Many students became interested in employment in an insurance company and even decided to start their career as an insurance agent.
The head of the Stavropol Universal Office conducted a conversation with the 3rd year students, during which she explained why life insurance is necessary. In addition to the initial goal of providing a safety cushion for loved ones, life insurance has other opportunities: to save up for planned expenses, for example, for university education or for a pension increase. During the conversation, the students learned about the advantages of such types of personal insurance as risk insurance, cumulative insurance, voluntary pension insurance, and investment insurance.
