Together with strategic partners, Stavropol State Agrarian University has opened 114 branded classrooms based on 61 schools in all municipal districts of the region. They will accommodate more than 2,000 students from grades 7 to 11.
The project will allow students to study according to programs and courses developed by the faculty of SSAU and the Ministry of Education, as well as attend field practice-oriented classes. Students will learn the basics of agronomy, veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, and crop production. Students will receive practical skills on the basis of the leading agricultural enterprises of the region.
— It has been noted more than once: in order for the industry to have a stable human resource base, it is necessary to begin to form interest and respect for agriculture among children already at school age. This is the only way we can educate a new generation of professionals who will become the engine of agricultural development not only in Stavropol, but throughout Russia,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.
