From July 3 to July 7, 2018, the XIX International Summer Conference on Cellular Fur Animal Farming was held in Stavropol, organized by the National Association of Fur Farmers and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Members of Stavropol State Agrarian University also take an active part in it.
This annual event is an exchange of experience between large enterprises of the industry, representatives of companies that provide fur farming with the necessary equipment, and the scientific community.
This year, more than 60 specialists were present at the conference, which represent such large animal farms as: JSC Forestry Enterprise "Forest Keys" (Stavropol Territory); OJSC "Agrofirma Bagrationovskaya", CJSC "Zverokhozyaystvo Gurievskoe", JSC "Agrofirma Prozorovskaya" (Kaliningrad region); LLC "Mekh", "Zverokhozyaystvo Znamenskoe" Ltd, "Zveroplemzavod Savyatevo" Ltd (Tver region); ZAO Biryuli, LLC Berezutsky Agrofirma (Republic of Tatarstan); Mozhginskoe zverohozyaystvo Ltd, FSUE Russian Sobol (Republic of Udmurtia); Open Company "Zverojajstvo Vyatka" (Kirov area); LLC "Fox" (Republic of Bashkortostan); Vostok Ltd (Krasnodar Region).
In addition, the experience was shared by other participants: the auction company Kopenhagen Furs (Denmark), Petsmo Products (Finland), Jasopels A/S (Denmark), Hedensted Gruppen (Denmark), Norcar BSB (Finland).
Representatives of St. Petersburg State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and the Russian Fur Union made presentations in addition to the practitioners.
Associate Professor of the Department of Private Zootechnics, Selection and Animal Breeding of Stavropol State Agrarian University Alexander Khodusov presented the report "On the problems and prospects of training veterinarians for the fur farming industry in higher educational institutions". In his speech, he expressed special gratitude to the director of JSC Forestry "Forest Keys" Khapsirokov Mukhadin Abdulovich for many years of fruitful cooperation in this direction. "Forest keys" are a strategic partner of our university, and our students, studying at the faculties of veterinary medicine and technological management, study the most advanced technologies used in this production.
