Healthy food for the human body


An open lecture for students of technological management and veterinary medicine of SSAU was held by the professor of Voronezh University of Engineering Technologies L. V. Antipova.

On World Science Day - November 10 students of two faculties of Stavropol State Agrarian University met with the leading scientist in the field of food biotechnology, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Lyudmila Vasilievna Antipova. Her research interests include the theory and practice of producing biologically complete, combined, analog and functional food products based on the rational use of agricultural resources with the involvement of biotechnology methods.

Holding an open lecture on the importance of healthy food products for the human body, Professor L. V. Antipova stressed the importance of complex processing of raw materials, since it is often in the "waste" of processing that biologically important components remain that are necessary for the body. Giving specific examples, she convincingly proved that our food can be both a medicine and a poison.

In conclusion, Lyudmila Vasilievna wished the students to strive to obtain the maximum possible amount of knowledge and competence during their studies, since this very important "baggage" will be in demand later in life. Students of the Agrarian University were very interested in professional communication with the eminent scientist of Voronezh University, who has a large number of students and followers - 80 trained candidates and doctors of science!
